Protection for The Elements
Acre Prime Inc. specializes in the practice of preventing wind and water erosion for agriculture, construction, and land developments. Effective erosion control is an important technique in preventing water pollution and soil loss. Acre Prime Inc. offers a variety of non-impact solutions to erosion, sediment control and dewatering services. Acre Prime Inc. has been certified through the City of Calgary in many areas of Erosion and Sediment control including bio-technical soil stabilization for slopes and stream banks, implementation inspection, maintenance of construction site best practices, and several other methods involving erosion and sediment control. Members of management are certified as both CISEC (Certified Inspector of Sediment and Erosion Control) and CPESC (Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control).
CISEC & CPSEC Certified
Members of Management of Acre Prime Inc. are Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Inspectors as well as Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control. Acre Prime Inc. is able to take care of your erosion and sediment inspection needs as required in your ESC plans.
ECO and ESC Plans
Acre Prime works directly with companies to create effective ECO and ESC plans to greatly reduce all of the environmental impacts of construction.
Silt Fence
A temporary sediment control consisting of a geo-textile material which is placed around the perimeter of a construction site where soil disturbance is occurring. There by preventing streams, rivers, lakes and reservoirs from potential sediment contamination.
Erosion Matting
A temporary erosion control device consisting of a straw and coconut compound. The matting is laid on a slope and stapled into place. By retaining moisture, it controls runoff and promotes the early germination of seeds. Over time the erosion blanket decomposes into natural mulch and blends in with the natural environment
Pole Planting and Brush Layering
A temporary sediment control consisting of a geo-textile material which is placed around the perimeter of a construction site where soil disturbance is occurring. There by preventing streams, rivers, lakes and reservoirs from potential sediment contamination.
Sediment Logs
An erosion control and sediment control device used on construction sites to protect water quality and contamination to surrounding areas. Bio logs are made of 100% coconut fiber and are completely bio-degradable. Over time bio logs with blend in with the natural surroundings.
Catch Basin Protection
Helps to prevent any potential sediment discharge into storm drains and sewage systems, ensuring companies can comply with their local storm water pollution prevention plans.
Turbidity Curtains
Floating sediment barriers that can reduce or restrict the movement of suspended sediments and hazardous materials into bodies of water.
Silt Dikes
Used to slow or stop the flow of runoff water. These dikes are also effective in preventing erosion and sediment transfer.
Mulching & Tackifying
There are various types of mulches and tackifiers that can be used to stabilize sites for long periods of time. Bonded Fiber Matrixes (BFM) are sprayed on and is a great alternative to conventional roll out erosion control blankets.
Turf Reinforcement Mats
Synthetic fiber erosion control blankets that offer permanent support for vegetation. This prevents erosion from high drainage areas such as swales and slopes.
Dewatering
A system designed to lower NTU’s (Nephelometric Turbidity Units) in water to an allowable level that passes city requirements to be pumped into the storm system.
